As the Latin name suggests, Trametes versicolor exhibits some of the most varied and vibrant colors the mushroom world has to offer, revealed in showy displays of greens, blues, oranges, tans, and browns forming concentric arching stripes. While ours are cultivated indoors, these stunning mushrooms are often found in the wild on fallen logs near streams.
