About: Spikenard essential oil has a deep, root-like, valerian scent. The plant grows at high altitudes in the Himalayas and produces a dense cluster of red and white berries. The roots have a powerful aromatic scent and are steam distilled to produce the essential oil. Spikenard has been used for over 2,000 years as an incense to deepen spiritual practices, promote contemplation and repel bugs.

Common Uses: Spikenard can be added to diffusers and blends to promote sleep, a healthy stress-response and a calm mind. Blending Recommendations: Spikenard is a base tone with a pungent, earthy aroma.

Safety Information:
- Maximum Adult Dilution: Spikenard is very gentle and can be use undiluted.
- Recommended Adult Dilution: 1-5%; 6 – 30 drops per ounce of carrier.
Shelf Life: 5 years in proper conditions before quality declines. As Spikenard ages its scent will become deeper and its viscosity will thicken.
Storage: Store upright, cap firmly closed, out of direct heat and sunlight.
