HOW TO MAKE A CUP OF TEA
TO INFUSE (steep) flowers and leaves
- Put 1-2 teaspoons of herb into a cup or teapot.
- Pour 1 cup of hot water over the herbs.
- Cover and let sit for 15-20 minutes.
- Strain and enjoy!
TO DECOCT (simmer) rooty and barky parts
- Put 1-2 teaspoons of herb in a pot.
- Add 1 cup of water.
- Cover and simmer for 10-15 minutes.
- Strain and enjoy!
- Please note that some demulcent herbs should be “cold” infused.
- Increase portions if you are making more than
1 cup at the time.
