QUEEN OF HUNGARY'S WATER is a toner for Skin Types. This toner is a combination of Organic Orange Blossom hydrosol and organic healing garden herbs in a Witch hazel hydrosol. It contains no alcohol that can dry the skin. It is toning and refreshing, able to normalize the pH of the skin's protective acid mantle. Use for general toning of the complexion, rosacea, cleansing and hydrating with our Rose Facial Oil. Herbs used will include Calendula, Roses, Rosemary, Sage, Comfrey, Lemon peel, Lavender, Chamomile and Lemon Balm. The scent will vary slightly by season and availability of the herbs. Its toning and healing powers however will always be present. Hydrosols, sometimes called distillates, and hydrolates, are the water portion of the distillation of plants for the production of essential oils. The distillate water, hydrosol, is the water that has carried the essential oil of the plant through the distillation process, the vehicle of extraction. At the end of the distillation process the essential oil floats on the surface of the distillate water and is separated to be used separately. These distillate waters are useful in the care of the skin and body. They are excellent for use in hydrating the complexion, for lifting a mood, refreshing us while traveling or on a hot day. Hydrosols slightly acidic properties help to preserve the complexion's acid mantle.
